Position Overview:
Reporting to the Audit Senior and as part of the Internal Audit, you will have a variety of responsibilities in a global/multi-national team that works as an independent function providing assurance to management and the Audit Committee over Acrisure’s internal controls.
Key Responsibilities: (The position exists to perform these fundamental and crucial job duties that accomplish the principal object(s) of the position.)
- Participate in team meetings and learn how internal audits are conducted
- Shadow auditors during walkthroughs to gain exposure to audit procedures
- Assist Internal Audit team members with preparing and organizing audit documentation and testing workpapers
- Contribute to special projects as assigned, providing support and fresh perspective
- Conduct research on business processes, policies, and industry best practices
- Help with administrative tasks such as printing, scanning, and maintaining audit workpapers
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Licensure or Certifications)
Required Qualifications
- Current college level freshman or sophomore pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- Strong interest in learning about auditing, accounting, and business operations
- Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a professional office setting
- No prior audit experience required – training and mentorship will be provided
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Demonstrates an interest in pursuing professional certifications, such as the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
