Strategy & Operations Intern
As a Strategy & Operations Intern at Vaccine Genie, you’ll work closely with our leadership team, including the CEO, CTO, COO, and Project Leads, to support high-level strategic growth efforts. You’ll gain real-world experience by contributing directly to the expansion of our business plan, identifying and drafting competitive grant proposals, scouting and applying for relevant pitch competitions, and assisting with essential research and operational tasks.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate on updating and expanding the business plan to align with growth objectives.
- Research, identify, and write draft grant proposals aligned with our mission and goals.
- Identify and compile applications for relevant pitch competitions and innovation challenges.
- Support the CEO, CTO, and COO with additional research, competitive analysis, and strategic projects.
- Track funding opportunities and maintain an organized grant/competition pipeline.
- Help prepare slide decks, executive summaries, and supporting documents as needed.
Skills Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Research-savvy and detail-oriented.
- Ability to understand and articulate startup business models.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Proficiency in Slack and ClickUp.
- Familiarity with pitch decks, grant writing, or startup ecosystems is a plus.
- A self-starter mindset with excellent organizational skills.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Communications, Public Health, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong interest in startups, healthcare innovation, or social entrepreneurship.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Prior experience in business planning, writing proposals, or startup competitions is preferred but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Hours:
- Flexible, up to 10 hours/week based on availability.
- OPT Requires 20 hours per week minimum.
- Work Location: All work is remote.
- Communication: Meetings via Zoom or Google Meet. Tasks are managed through ClickUp, and communication is handled on Slack.
- Mentorship: You’ll work closely with the COO, CEO, and Marketing Team.
- Internship Duration: 6 months from date of hire, with the option to reapply.
