Landscape Architect Intern

Position Overview

As a Landscape Architect Intern, you will support our project teams on a variety of public and private sector projects throughout Utah and the surrounding region. You’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside licensed landscape architects, civil engineers, and other professionals in a fast-paced, real-world environment. This is a unique opportunity to build technical skills, enhance your portfolio, and contribute to meaningful projects that leave a lasting impact.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of conceptual, schematic, and construction-level landscape designs.
  • Support the production of plans, renderings, and presentation materials using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design software.
  • Conduct research on plant materials, irrigation systems, and sustainable design practices.
  • Help coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to support project delivery.
  • Participate in site visits, client meetings, and design charrettes as needed.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil3D, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and SketchUp; experience with Lumion, Rhino, or GIS is a plus.
  • Strong graphic and design skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passion for creating impactful spaces.
