Description
A Residence Hall Ambassador (Admissions Showroom) is a current student who allows the Office of Admissions to show prospective students and families their room as an example of on campus housing during Admitted Student Days. The dates are Saturday, Feb. 28, Saturday, March 28, Saturday, April 11, and Saturday, April 18. The expectation is that the student’s room will reflect positively on the campus housing options. First and second-floor rooms are preferable. A Residence Hall Ambassador must be available for all four Admitted Student Days.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the room is presentable, unlocked, and open from 1 pm -3:30 pm on Saturday, Feb. 28, Saturday, March 28, Saturday, April 11, and Saturday, April 18.
- Being accessible by phone to their immediate supervisor on the above event days from 12 pm-4 pm
- Showing room to visitors on tour during Admitted Student Days
- Being present and engaging with families and students
- Ensuring their room is well kept and reflects positively on the residence hall/institution as a whole
- Notifying Admissions supervisor of potential negative situations present in their residence hall (i.e. trash piling up in hallway, dirty floors, restrooms out of order, etc.)
Application Instructions
Students hired into on-campus jobs must complete federal employment paperwork, including the Form I9. Students must present original documents indicating they are eligible to work in the U.S. Photocopies of documents cannot be accepted. Students should ensure they have their documents on campus or have a plan to get their documents to campus if they are hired to work on campus.
