Position Overview
We’re hiring a Junior Handyman to join our growing team of Home Coordinators and Lead Handymen. This entry-level, W2 role is ideal for someone with basic construction or home maintenance experience who’s eager to grow into a Lead Handyman role over time.
You’ll complete light repairs and small tasks during quarterly client visits, serving as the boots-on-the-ground support that keeps homes in great shape and homeowners stress-free.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general handyman tasks (e.g., hanging shelves, adjusting doors, replacing light bulbs, caulking tubs, installing filters)
- Tackle punch-list items from the Home Coordinator during quarterly visits
- Communicate with home coordinators clearly, kindly, and professionally
- Flag bigger issues to your Lead Handyman or Home Coordinator
- Keep your tools organized and your workspace clean and safe
- Represent GHM with professionalism, pride, and hospitality
Qualifications
- 1+ year of general construction or home maintenance experience (no trades license needed)
- Fluent in English with solid communication skills
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
- Must be insurable (clean driving record preferred)
- Able to pull a trailer (preferred but not required)
- Own basic hand tools and an impact driver
- Strong time management and follow-through
- Desire to grow into more advanced roles in the GHM Handyman Career Path
Compensation & Schedule
- $18/hour starting wage
- Full-time hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
- Bi-weekly pay via direct deposit
- Overtime opportunities available
