Job description
Please find below a partial list of activities that may be performed.
Winemaking:
· Daily fermentation monitoring and sensory evaluation
· Work order writing
· Data Analysis
· Accurate data entry and tracking using Microsoft Excel and
· Prepare tastings, trials, and blends
Laboratory:
· Tank and barrel sampling
· Berry sampling
· Grape and wine analysis (Brix, pH, TA, sulfur, enzymatics, alcohol, etc.)
· Prepare solutions, maintain chemicals, and calibrate laboratory equipment
Cellar:
· Additions and inoculations
· Barrel downs and topping
· Cleaning of equipment
Qualifications: Working towards a degree with an interest in Chemistry. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and work overtime (including one weekend day) during peak harvest period. Willingness and ability to follow all Company Safety policies and procedures. Basic lab skills – including pipetting, titration, and ability to follow protocols. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Analytical, critical thinking, math skills required. Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 45 lbs.
