Media Scholars Scholarship — Media Plan Case Competition (2025–2026)

Description:
The Media Plan Case Competition is the signature program of the Washington Media Scholars Foundation. This multi-round national competition challenges students to develop a strategic media plan using real budgets, impressions, and audience data. Finalists receive an all-expenses-paid, week-long professional development experience in Washington, D.C., and compete for the National Excellence in Media Award and $18,500 in scholarships.

Competition Structure:
Qualifying Round: Individual or teams of two submit a brief media planning assignment
Semifinals: Top 25–30 entries advance to submit full media plans
Finals in Washington, D.C.: Six finalist teams present plans, network with media leaders, and attend career sessions

Award:
$18,500 in total scholarships awarded to finalists

Eligibility:
• Open to undergraduate students nationwide
• No prior media planning experience required
• Students may apply individually or as a team

Deadline:
Qualifying Round deadline: February 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST
