We are seeking an individual who is Committed, Kind, Knowledgeable and Respectful to assume an additional Assistant Director of Nursing with our recent addition of more Assisted Living units.
Summary:
In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Assistant Director of Nursing (AL/MC/IL) is charged, in conjunction with the Director of Nursing (AL/MC/IL), with the overall operation of Assisted Living (residential care facility) areas, and has 24 hour responsibility to organize, supervise and direct the operation; provides, directs and coordinates the provision of nursing care, professional, and support services to the residents who reside in Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care; markets the program; participates in continued professional development; performs other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years experience in a supervisory position in Long Term Care, Assisted Living or Home Health
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Ohio
- Current BLS certification
- Participates in nurse on-call rotation with ALMC Nurse Management Team
- Good physical and mental health.
- Possesses the necessary dexterity to perform injections, IVS, etc.
- Able to lift, push and pull 35-50 pounds independently, and over 50 pounds with assistance.
- Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
- Walks, stands, and sits intermittently during the day.
- Must work objectively and compassionately with residents, families and public on personal basis.
- Demonstrates effective communication & problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with and lead nursing staff.
- Demonstrates evidence of strong leadership abilities, clinical competence and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledgeable of principles of growth and development for the entire life span with the ability to provide care appropriate for the adult and geriatric residents.
- Proven ability to manage and supervise nursing staff.
- Demonstrates evidence of strong leadership abilities, clinical competence and interpersonal skills.

- Working knowledge of Word, Excel and e-mail or willingness to learn.
