Company Overview:

Popcorn.co is revolutionizing storytelling with AI-powered "vibe moviemaking"—transforming single text prompts into complete movies with shots, scenes, intelligent characters, dialogue, and soundtracks in minutes. We're building the social network where movies aren't just watched, they're remixed, collaborated on, and evolved by communities. Led by serial entrepreneur Adi Sideman (founder of YouNow with 120M users), we're a venture-backed startup supported by Union Square Ventures and other top investors.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Social Media Management Intern to lead Popcorn.co’s platform presence, build our creator program, and manage high-quality content that elevates our brand. This is a strategy-meets-execution role: you’ll develop our official social channels, coordinate with AI creators and influencers, oversee partnerships, and ensure our voice is clear and impactful. Your content focus will be on official ‘pro’ content and paid ads. This position is fully remote with a flexible vacation policy and schedule, and potential for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Strategy: Help develop and implement a cohesive social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, and other platforms to grow brand awareness and engagement.
  • Creator Program Development: Identify, recruit, and maintain relationships with AI creators, influencers, and social media personalities to collaborate on content, campaigns, and community-building initiatives.
  • Channel Management: Manage posting schedules, ensure brand consistency, and coordinate with the Content Creation team to balance professional, ad-focused, and trend-driven content.
  • Ad & Campaign Oversight: Plan, brief, and help produce polished ad campaigns and promotional videos, working closely with design, video, and marketing teams.
  • Community Engagement: Oversee interaction on official accounts — respond to comments, DMs, and mentions; engage in relevant conversations to boost visibility and trust.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Monitor KPIs including engagement, reach, and conversion; run experiments to optimize content and ad performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, marketing, and leadership teams to align content with overall company goals and product launches.
  • Platform Innovation: Stay ahead of algorithm changes, emerging features, and new social tools to keep Popcorn’s channels optimized and relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergrad or master’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in social media management, creator relations, or digital marketing.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools, such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, Reddit, Discord.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to shift tone between corporate, casual, and comedic.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (native platform insights, Google Analytics, etc.) and paid media campaign management.
  • Comfortable coordinating with creators and partners in fast-paced, evolving startup environments.
  • Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bonus: Experience creating or managing polished social ads and professional-grade content.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Bonus: Experience with AI creative tools, viral format experimentation, and trend forecasting.

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to help grow Popcorn.co’s official social media presence from the ground up.
  • Mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs and creatives.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge AI tools and creative workflows.
  • Fully remote work setup.
  • Flexible vacation policy.
  • Competitive salary and potential for full-time conversion.
  • The chance to shape the content culture of a high-growth startup at the intersection of AI, entertainment, and social media.
