Lead Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
Responsible for ensuring building and equipment used in manufacturing, processing, packing, and holding of products or components within a GMP aseptic fill manufacturing plant are maintained in a good state of repair.
Job Scope:
As a member of the Nova-Tech Facilities and Equipment Team assist with objectives of the department to ensure Nova-Tech’s goal of a high-quality product with excellent customer care.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and perform scheduled preventative maintenance for building and equipment with documentation of activity
- Accompany outside repair service for jobs performed
- Submit orders for spare parts to the Vice President of Facilities & Equipment for approval
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the maintenance office and working area as well as good working condition of all tools
- Understand production to attain knowledge of the manufacturing process
- Adhere to all company policies related to safety, lock-out/tag-out procedures and GMPs
- Cleaning and related activities such as snow or debris removal from sidewalks and landscaped areas of the building grounds
- Capable of safely operating hand-operated tools, small power equipment, vehicles, and any other job-related equipment
- Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on as needed basis
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies
- Perform both forklift and scissor lift training for all required staff
- Attend meetings and training as required
- Availability to be on-call if service for maintenance emergencies arise
- Janitorial and other duties assigned
Knowledge and Job Skills:
- Good mechanical, electrical and HVAC knowledge
- Ability to multi-task, stay on task, and meet deadlines
- Work well under pressure
- Ability to navigate equipment manuals
- Flexible, reachable, and willing to come in on non-scheduled days as needed
- Physically and mentally capable of having necessary interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, calculation, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, mathematics, organizing, and innovation
- Exceptional attendance
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull or move up to 30lbs
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Two-year degree from technical school or five years industrial maintenance experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
