2026 High-Scale Proteomics Intern (PhD)

We are seeking a highly motivated summer PhD intern with advanced training in proteomics, chemistry, or biochemistry. The intern will support research projects focused on high-scale antibody-based proteomics, biomarker discovery, translational medicine, and quantitative proteomics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with protein characterization, bioanalytical tools, and data analysis using multiple bioinformatics tools. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Design and execute proteomics experiments, including sample preparation, Olink Q100 instrument operation, data acquisition, and database creation.  
  • Analyze and interpret proteomics data using statistical and bioinformatics software.  
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support biomarker discovery and validation, and clinical sample analysis projects. Suggest biomarker selection based on scientific questions, support assay design, and rationale.  
  • Present findings in group meetings, interpreting, and contributing to scientific reports and publications.  
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with safety protocols.  

Minimum Qualifications  

  • Must be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internship.  
  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Proteomics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics or related field.
  • Strong background in ligand binding assays and antibody-based proteomics. 
  • Proficiency in data analysis and bioinformatics. 
  • Experience with protein analysis from multiple biological matrices, extraction, digestion, and quantification techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027. 
  • Experience with large-scale data sets and statistical analysis. 
  • Team player, independent, creative and collaborative.  
  • Familiarity with biomarker analysis workflows. 
  • Prior internship or protein research experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting.
