Accounts Coordinator

Description

Strong Roots Accounting is hiring a contract-to-hire Accounts Coordinator to own the end-of-month processing and reconciliation of client books. This role will begin as a contract position with the intent to convert to an employee after a successful initial period, based on performance and business needs.

 

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, self-motivated, client-facing, and eager to grow. You will work directly with the owner to learn the day-to-day responsibilities, with the expectation that you will independently own your tasks within 90 days.

 

We are looking for someone who enjoys detailed work, can move confidently between month-end priorities and daily transactional needs, and is excited to support clients with clear communication and professionalism.

 

This role is in-person in Fort Worth.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for 25–30 clients using QuickBooks and other accounting systems
  • Support and eventually own month-end close, including reconciliations and reporting
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Track expenses, receipts, and other financial activity
  • Categorize income and expenses with consistency and accuracy
  • Provide regular financial reports (monthly and yearly)
  • Communicate with clients professionally, clearly, and in a timely manner
  • Assist with payroll support as needed
  • Contribute to process creation and documentation to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Maintain strong professional boundaries and manage workload effectively during close cycles

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in accounting support, accounts coordination, or a similar role
  • Experience supporting month-end close, payroll, and/or AP/AR
  • Experience managing multiple clients or accounts
  • QuickBooks experience is preferred but not required
  • Managerial or lead experience is a plus

Salary

  • From $46,000 per year
  • Quarterly bonus
