Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop and curate engaging content (text, images, videos, etc.) for multiple social media platforms.
- Social Media Management: Manage a social media calendar, schedule posts, and ensure timely content development and review with organization leaders.
- Interpersonal Communication: Plan questions and conduct interviews–through in-person meetings, phone calls and Zoom–with youth participants, coaches, alumni and members’ parents.
- Community Engagement: Monitor social media channels, review comments and messages, develop responses to feedback that foster a strong, positive brand.
- Collaboration: Work with Sarasota Scullers’ coaches/youth rowers/parents/board members to brainstorm ideas, develop content strategies, and execute marketing campaigns for special events and programs.
This professional development opportunity is ideal for a college undergraduate majoring in communications, marketing or public relations. It will provide valuable networking and hands-on learning that will facilitate career development. Self-direction skills are critical for this virtual internship that requires approximately 4-6 hours/week.
A $250 stipend per semester will be awarded upon successful completion of the internship.
