Accident Reconstructionist / Biomechanical Engineer
MRA Forensic Sciences is currently hiring for a full-time Accident Reconstructionist / Biomechanical Engineer at our office in Bluffdale, UT.
The individual in this role will be responsible for conducting accident reconstructions and performing biomechanical analyses to determine injury causation. They will apply principles of physics, engineering, and biomechanics to analyze vehicle collisions and provide expert testimony in legal cases.
They will collaborate with cross-functional teams and use specialized tools and software to collect and analyze data, create visual representations of accidents, and provide detailed reports and presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Biomechanics, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of accident reconstruction principles and methodologies
- Proficiency in using specialized software and tools for accident reconstruction and biomechanical analysis
- Experience with data collection and analysis, including the use of 3D laser scanners, total stations, and crash data retrieval systems
- Ability to interpret complex technical information and present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Experience providing expert testimony in legal cases is a plus
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to accident reconstruction and biomechanics is a plus
