Manufacturing Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

The main function of a manufacturing engineer is to apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout or manufacturing production. A typical manufacturing engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.
 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support New Capital Introduction (NCI) activities.
Support daily continuous improvement activities.
Design new tooling to resolve assembly processes challenges.
Review/Update/Develop Assembly documentations. Such as standard work, PFMEA, Control Plan, SFMEA etc.
Work on Continuous Improvement (CI) cards
Design tooling associated with CI cards
Update assembly documentations (SW, PFMEA, Control Plan, SFMEA)
Procure parts through NexGen for assembly line – basic training will be provided.
Follow up with Tool shop, Central shop and Facility engineering on jobs issued through system (LLumin, B-Zone etc.) – basic training will be provided.
Write tool order (RFE and SWO) to facility engineering – basic training will be provided.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Engineering
Minimum 5-7 years of Manufacturing experience


REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Microsoft O365
Tool design software (CAD, Creo, Catia etc.)


DESIRED SKILLS:

Project Management, Data Analysis, Root Cause Analysis
