Position Overview

We are seeking an Entry-Level Process Engineer to support system design, plant optimization, and field data collection for recycling and waste-handling projects. This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate who is analytical, team-oriented, and eager to develop hands-on industry experience.

The Process Engineer will work closely with our Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams to gather site-specific information, evaluate system performance, and support the development of technical proposals and equipment layouts. Initial training will include extensive field exposure, followed by a Norwalk-based home office schedule with periodic travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits to collect operational data, evaluate equipment performance, and document plant conditions.
  • Assist in the development of equipment layouts, process flow diagrams, and performance specifications.
  • Analyze system throughput, material characteristics, and equipment behavior to support engineering recommendations.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering teams to support proposal development and system design.
  • Participate in commissioning support activities as needed.
  • Ensure that all work complies with company standards, client requirements, and industry safety practices.
  • Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders and internal departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Environmental, or related discipline).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits (approximately 1–2 trips per month, domestic), with heavier travel during the first 1–2 months for training.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project timelines.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within driving distance to regional facilities

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • In-person at Norwalk office 
  • Overtime / weekends as needed
  • On-call support as required
  • 8-hour shift
