Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial-minded Interns to join our team. This role is designed to give students or early-career professionals hands-on exposure to private equity and venture development while supporting the daily operations of a brand-new investment firm. The intern will assist with administrative duties, deal sourcing, investor prospecting, community networking, firm platform media content, social media, and industry events.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn how a new private equity firm operates from the inside while building a professional network across North Dakota and the Upper Midwest.
Key Responsibilities
- Administrative Support
- Assist with general office tasks, scheduling, document preparation, and data entry.
- Maintain CRM systems and investor contact lists.
- Deal Sourcing & Research
- Conduct market research on industries and companies aligned with Alluvium’s investment thesis.
- Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
- Prepare research briefs and pitch summaries for leadership review.
- Investor Prospecting & Relations
- Assist in compiling investor outreach lists and preparing investor materials.
- Support communication efforts with prospective investors and partners.
- Networking & Community Engagement
- Represent Alluvium Equity at local and regional networking events, conferences, and business forums.
- Assist in planning and coordinating firm-sponsored events.
- Media & Marketing
- Manage and create content for Alluvium’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
- Develop and schedule posts highlighting firm activities, portfolio news, and industry insights.
- Support the production of media initiatives, including podcasts, video interviews, and thought-leadership content.
- Track engagement metrics and suggest improvements to enhance brand presence.
- Special Projects
- Support fundraising efforts by developing presentations and marketing collateral.
- Contribute to strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, economics, marketing, or related field.
- Strong interest in private equity, investing, and entrepreneurship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in professional networking environments.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills,with proficiency in Excel or other financialmodeling tools.
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a small, fast-paced team.
