Doctoral Research Assistant- CCAMPIS Program
General Description:
- Reports to the Director of CCAMPIS Program at Texas State University- San Marcos. Will also be supervised by the CCAMPIS Faculty Co-PI.
- Responsible for assisting in the delivery of services and research initiatives provided by the CCAMPIS Program.
- Frequent Evening and weekend work will be required.
- This is a grant funded position. Continuation of this position is contingent upon grant funding.
Duties:
- Working with the CCAMPIS Director, staff, and PI team.
- Assisting with preparing materials and facilitating aggressive participant recruitment campaign in accordance with US Department of Education Guidelines.
- Evaluating participant applications to determine eligibility.
- Make recommendations and conduct participant intake interviews.
- Assist with implementing programming for CCAMPIS participants.
- Assess participant progress, personal growth, and academic performance.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to promote personal and professional growth.
- Assist in research related to CCAMPIS program and the population it serves.
Required Qualifications:
- Current Graduate or Doctoral Student at Texas State University.
- Must be able to work possible evening hours and weekends.
- Must be able to effectively and dynamically present information in small and large group formats.
- Must have efficient oral and written communication skills.
- Must have demonstrated computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, and database entry.
- Must have ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and an ability to think independently and analytically.
