High School French Teacher (Long Term Substitute) Inspire French Students Who Love the Language: Long-Term Position Through June 2026 The New Hope-Solebury School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute French Teacher to inspire students across all levels from enthusiastic beginners to motivated AP scholars. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating an engaging and immersive learning environment while fostering a love for the French language and culture at every stage of learning. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging French lessons that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students. Create a classroom environment that promotes language acquisition and cultural understanding. Use a variety of instructional methods, technology, and resources to support student learning. Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress. Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and enhance the French program. Implement IEPs, 504s, and GIEPs as required. Uphold classroom behavior expectations and district policies. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff. Attend staff meetings, participate in professional development, and contribute to school community activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, French, or a related field. PA Teaching Certification in French (Grades 7-12 or equivalent). Strong communication skills in both French and English. Experience or ability to teach French language and culture to high school students. Preferred candidates will have familiarity with the Spanish language to support cross language connections and enhance collaboration within the World Languages department. Classroom management and technology integration skills. Additional Requirements: Regular and consistent attendance. Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned.
