Timekeeper Security Manager

Job Title: Timekeeper / Security Manager Location: Bayonne Drydock & Repair Corp. – Bayonne, NJ Department: Operations / Security
Position Summary: Bayonne Drydock & Repair Corp. is seeking an experienced Timekeeper/Security Manager to oversee shipyard security operations and employee timekeeping functions. This role is responsible for supervising security staff, managing attendance and timekeeping systems, and ensuring site safety and compliance in a fast-paced shipyard environment.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and manage a team of approximately 8-10 security guards across multiple shifts, including overnights and weekends

Create and maintain security staff schedules to ensure full coverage

Oversee daily timekeeping operations and ensure accurate employee attendance tracking

Prepare and submit timesheet production reports and payroll-related documentation

Manage and administer attendance software systems, including WorkEasy and Jantek

Conduct regular patrols of the shipyard to ensure safety, security, and compliance

Issue and manage employee identification badges using ID-making software

Attend daily production meetings at 7:00 a.m.

Coordinate with operations, HR, and management regarding attendance, security incidents, and reporting

Ensure compliance with company policies, shipyard regulations, and safety procedures

Perform additional duties as assigned
Work Schedule
• Regular hours: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Must be flexible to work weekends, overnights, and extended hours as needed
Qualifications & Experience

3–4 years of experience in a security supervisory or management role

Experience in an industrial, maritime, shipyard, or construction environment preferred

Prior experience with employee attendance and timekeeping software (WorkEasy, Jantek)

Experience scheduling and supervising security personnel

Strong computer skills, including Windows-based applications

Experience with ID badge/ID-making systems

Military Police or prior military experience welcomed

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities in a high-security environment
Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to patrol large shipyard areas.

Comfortable working in an active industrial/maritime environment

Must be able to respond to security issues promptly and professionally
