Marketing Assistant. Photography
The Marketing Assistant for Photography and Content Creation is a student staff member within the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. This role supports Student Recreation and Wellness Services by capturing content at live events for use in departmental publications, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality photos and short-form video content at campus recreation programs, events, and facilities using personal photography and video equipment.
- Create engaging visual content for use across social media, websites, digital displays, and promotional materials
- Edit, organize, and submit media content in a timely manner
- Follow department branding, accessibility, and usage guidelines
- Collaborate with professional staff and student employees to meet marketing and promotional needs
- Represent the Campus Recreation Department in a positive, professional manner
- Maintain reliability, creativity, and attention to detail while meeting deadlines
- Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience with photography and/or videography (portfolio, Instagram, or sample work preferred)
- Ability to use personal photography and/or video equipment effectively.
- Access to use high resolution camera (Mirrorless, DSLR, etc.) during events.
- Access to use personal Mobile Device if needed to capture content
- Basic knowledge of photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Strong communication and professionalism when interacting with staff and participants
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to follow branding, accessibility, and usage guidelines
- Organized, responsible, and detail-oriented
