Position Type:
Temporary, Paid 10-Week Summer Internship
Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Location: On-site – Franklin, Tennessee

Reports To: Audio Production Supervisor


Position Summary:
The Audio Production Intern will assist the production team in creating compelling audio content for on-air programming. This internship offers hands-on experience in radio production, copywriting, and audio editing while collaborating with other departments on creative projects. Interns will contribute to imaging, public affairs programming, and spot production, gaining exposure to industry-standard tools and techniques. The program culminates in a capstone project focused on creating a database that improves production workflows or leveraging AI to demonstrate the quality of improvement of spots created.

 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Produce Public Affairs shows under supervision. 

· Write copy for promotional content. 

· Assist in producing imaging and audio spots for broadcast. 

· Collaborate with other departments on creative projects and campaigns. 

· Support the development of a database for artist and production music. 

· Complete a capstone project demonstrating innovative solutions for production efficiency or creative quality.



Required Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a related field (Audio Production, Communications, Radio, Media, Broadcasting, etc.). 

· Strong writing and communication skills. 

· Ability to work on-site in Franklin, TN for the full internship period. 

· Interest in radio production and audio storytelling.



Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with audio editing software (Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, etc.). 

· Familiarity with radio imaging and production techniques. 

· Creative mindset and ability to contribute fresh ideas for on-air content.



Additional Information:
This internship provides practical experience in radio production and creative audio content development. Interns will gain exposure to industry practices, collaborate with experienced professionals, and learn how to create engaging audio experiences for listeners. The internship culminates in a capstone project where you’ll present your work and insights to leadership.
