Summer Journalism Intern
Newsrooms in the Pittsburgh Media Partnership — a group of more than thirty media outlets across Southwestern Pennsylvania — seek motivated student journalists for the Summer 2026 Internship Program.
This internship is designed for students with a serious interest in journalism, particularly those underrepresented in the industry. It provides students an opportunity to learn on the job, develop their portfolios, and build connections that support their entry into the field.
Interns selected for the program will work in a local newsroom on day-to-day assignments alongside editors. They will also have access to additional fellowship, networking, and learning opportunities through the PMP.
The full-time internship is paid at $15/hour, up to 30 hours a week. It will last eight weeks between late May and early August 2026.
- Candidates should be at least 18 years of age, enrolled at a college-level institution, and be able to live in Southwestern PA for the summer. Recent graduates also are welcome to apply.
