Occupational Therapist

The Work You’ll Do

  • Assess client needs and interpret evaluations to develop OT treatment plans
  • Implement therapy programs to build fine motor, gross motor, sensory, perceptual, and daily living skills
  • Support clients with physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges
  • Promote functional independence based on each child’s abilities and goals
  • Monitor and document progress; adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to support home carryover
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and follow-up services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a safe, compliant treatment environment

What You Bring – Required

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (AOTA-accredited)
  • Arizona Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) & AOTCB certified
  • Minimum 1 year of OT experience
  • Professional liability insurance
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to meet physical demands (lifting up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to work with children who may display challenging behaviors

What You Bring – Preferred

  • Experience in trauma-informed care
  • Bilingual skills
  • Experience with emotionally disturbed children or adolescents
  • Background in child welfare, crisis intervention, or nonprofit services

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Typical schedule: 8am-5pm
  • In-person
  • May require occasional on-call or adjusted hours based on client needs
