2026 Summer Intern – Drug Disposition-PK Sciences ~ Clinical Bioanalytic

Job Description

Clinical analytics data are essential for advancing clinical research and evaluating the disease-modifying potential of biologic agents. The integration of PK/PD data is particularly important for elucidating a molecule’s mode of action and its relevance to human health. However, assay-generated data can sometimes be challenging to interpret, resulting in additional questions rather than clear answers. These difficulties may stem from limitations inherent in the assay tools, the technical expertise of analysts, or the biology of the therapeutic under study. To enhance our understanding of the relationship between ligand binding assays and the pharmacodynamic data produced by our team, we propose a modeling-based approach designed to provide more informative insights into biotherapeutics investigated during clinical trials.

This PK sciences internship offers practical experience on the PK sciences team, including opportunities to learn about regulated bioanalysis, drug development, and the process of turning clinical data into drug labeling.

Expectations

The PK Sciences intern will collaborate with a team of bioanalytic scientists with diverse expertise in different modalities. Specific responsibilities will include execution of various timely projects, presentations, analytics support, and the incorporation of bioinformatics tools. The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, high level of attention to detail, and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.

Anticipated Projects

  • Contribute to the development of a bioinformatics tool that will inform decision-making processes and facilitate improvements in our drug development pipeline.
  • Collaborate with the external teams to incorporate generative AI in summarizing and utilizing insights from PK/PD and immunogenicity data generated from clinical studies.
  • Carefully analyze our data and propose improvements and guide us in future scientific decisions.

Minimum Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant field, such as Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, or related disciplines
  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry-related topics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize scientific data and present complex information clearly and high level of attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.

Preferred Competencies/Experiences

  • A US accredited graduate or postgraduate student (e.g., Master’s, PhD, PharmD, or MD program) is preferred, but exceptional undergraduate students may also be considered.
  • Familiarity and experience with bioinformatics applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
