2026 Novartis Summer Intern, Vendor Management and Contracting, Novartis Patient Support
Job Description:
The Summer Intern, Vendor Management and Contracting (“VMC”) will be responsible for partnering closely with the Associate Directors/Directors of the Vendor Management and Contracting teams in supporting the Center of Excellence with contracting and operational needs including but not limited to, assisting in the implementation and execution of contracts, management of Novartis Patient Services (“NPS”) vendors, and project management.
Major Activities
- Assist in facilitating enterprise vendor onboarding, renewal and ongoing operations by supporting submissions and documentation for processes such as governance, risk assessment, fair market value assessments etc.
- Partner with Associate Director/Director and NPS stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Disease State Team, cross functional members of Center of Excellence etc) to ensure patient support program contracts and operations are managed.
- Ensure alignment with all working practice documents & policies and business requirements.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION
- Candidate should be in an accredited degree-granting college or university pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree. Major in business, healthcare, or other related fields are preferred.
LANGUAGES - Fluent in English (oral and written)

Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of patient services or similar (including healthcare agency, specialty pharmacy distribution & capabilities, patient care coordination, operational workflows, and/or managed care knowledge)
- Experience in dealing with financial budgets and applying them to programs
- Experience applying design thinking principles.
- Self-starter! Ability to be given direction and run with it.

- Improve patient experience in our support programs through our vendor management operations and contracting strategies
- Ensures vendor processes are up to date and in alignment with task orders, business requirements and legal, privacy, quality, compliance and patient standards
- Assists in ensuring outlined projects are completed within a timely manner.
