Cybersecurity Intern - Cipher Team
Job Title: NBA Summer Internship - Cybersecurity Co-op Intern (Cipher Team)
Program Overview: The NBA Summer Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August. The program provides participants with the opportunity to learn about the business of basketball, develop critical career skills, and contribute to meaningful projects across a range of departments within the NBA.
Position Summary: Do you have an understanding of how technology supports and drives business processes? Do you want to learn more about how a major sports league ensures IT security across its entire operations. We have several internship positions focused on IT Cybersecurity.
Major Responsibilities: Interns will have the opportunity to support day-to-day operations in these areas while also completing major projects. Example projects include:
- Support the Security Operations team in the implementation, maintenance and monitoring of security tools and technologies
- Support the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, completing audits, reviews and participating in incident response.
- Supporting the Cyber Intelligence team to track, analyze, and counter digital security threats.

- Basic familiarity with the concepts of Cyber Security
- Basic understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

- Microsoft Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Data-analytics or data visualization
