Program Supervisor

YAI supports people of all ages experiencing crises. Our programs look holistically at individuals, their families and circles of support, and available community resources to assist people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and co-occurring mental or behavioral health needs.

YAI is looking for a compassionate, organized, and motivated Program Supervisor to lead an interdisciplinary team of clinical, medical, and direct support staff in our Brooklyn and Manhattan crisis intervention programs. This role is ideal for professionals with strong human services experience who are ready to lead others and ensure the highest quality of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a diverse team of clinicians, medical professionals, and DSPs.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and personal growth of the people we support, both at home and in the community.
  • Foster positive relationships with families, ensuring they are included in every step of services provision and goal planning.
  • Facilitate team and staff meetings that promote collaboration and clear communication.
  • Support the professional growth of your team through training, supervision, and mentorship.
  • Maintain program compliance, documentation, and quality standards.
  • Oversee budgeting and ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
  • Partner with other agencies and departments to strengthen supports and outcomes.

Education and Experience:

  • MA/MS required.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn agency systems (Workforce Management, etc.).
  • Willingness to respond to program needs beyond standard hours when necessary.

Pay: $66,300.00 per year
