10-week Risk Management Internship Program
Summer 2026

McMahon Insurance Agency is seeking a motivated insurance intern who is ready to apply knowledge of the risk management industry in a real-world experience supporting our personal lines, commercial lines, and condominium departments implementing all aspects of property casualty products. You will assist with a wide range of duties including data capturing and analysis, customer service, and learning about the insurance industry. This is a paid position and will work out of our main headquarters-based Ocean City, NJ during summer 2026.  

Responsibilities

• Learn all phases of client life cycle including prospecting, new business process, customer onboarding, and the renewal process.
• Get hands on building Acord Applications and nurturing relationships with underwriters.  
• Discover the ins and outs of the digital quoting process by leveraging technology tools. 
• Unleash your creativity into rewrite projects to transform and elevate insurance coverage options.
• Use data analysis to uncover cross-sell opportunities, to find threshold limits revealing underinsured exposures, and catch missing schedules.
• Launch mail campaigns sending renewal invitations, exposures uncovered, and opportunities to our valued clients.
• Gather information on properties for Replacement Cost Estimates.
• Shadow producers and account managers to learn the day-to-day tasks and duties of the role. 
• Review mortgagee changes, inspections, and recommendations 
• Transform and digitize paper files to create a streamlined workspace.
