Camp Racecar (Go Cart) Specialist

Our campers love driving the Razor Carts or the Kids Electric Cars around the track that you design.
Responsible for setting up a fun racecourse in our parking lot, changing it weekly, and supervising the safety of our campers as they zoom around the track. Lunch Included.
Responsibilities include and not limited to:
- Setup the initial track with tires on Saturday/Sunday before Camp
- Adjust track each week over an eight-week schedule (1 lesson each week taught multiple times)
- Set out and return cars to storage at the beginning and end of each day
- Instruct Campers in the safe operation of cars and proper use of safety equipment
- Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all Campers, adhering to safety guidelines and Camp policies
- Be a source of encouragement and support to Campers, fostering personal growth and skill development
- Be a positive role model for Campers and counselors by demonstrating leadership, teamwork and good sportsmanship and supervise groups to ensure Campers and counselors are displaying good sportsmanship, cooperation and teamwork
- Where applicable, supervise a Leader In Training Camper (14/15yr old)
- Maintain and organize equipment, supplies, and activity areas and notifying Operations Unit Head of needs
- Manage charging of batteries and cars to maintain usage throughout the day
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments for improvement
- Work in team with other Activity Specialists to ensure morning set-up and breakdowns in various areas are complete including: Ice Water Coolers, cones, inflatables, and other equipment
- Attend a 9:00am Specialist Meeting each morning of Camp in location specified by Director of Operations
- Attend a virtual Specialist Orientation held in the evening during the week before Camp
- Break down activity area daily as required and completely on last day of camp
