Journalism Internship

BuzzAround has been publishing all good news for our communities for 16 years, highlighting volunteerism and activities residents in our target communities in southern Massachusetts. 

In this entirely virtual, 120 hour Journalism internship, students will edit and post events and activities in Constant Contact. Opportunities are available for researching, interviewing & writing longer articles for newsletter & posting on our website. Featured articles include high school news & fundraisers for local civic organizations and local events. Profiles on local unsung heroes; community projects & local business profiles. Hours commonly are 10 hours / week for 12 weeks, but can be divided to fit into your schedule. Start date depends on your schedule. 

 Be read by a 25K readers through the Buzz Around Bridgewater, Brockton, East Bridgewater, Halifax, Raynham, Whitman and West Bridgewater e-newsletters, website blog & social media postings. 

This unpaid internship is designed to resume boost, giving you published writing assignments to add to your portfolio. Business references and letters of recommendation are available upon request. If you wish to participate in this internship for credit, some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.
