A. General Information
Position: Speech-Language Pathologist
Department: Clinical
Status: Exempt/Non-Exempt
**Part Time in office only

B. Job Summary
The speech-language pathologist is a member of the clinical staff and is responsible for providing treatment and performing evaluations for children and adults. He/she is detail-oriented, dependable, has excellent clinical competence and clinical judgment, excels at working in a multidisciplinary team environment, and supports the vision of the company.

C. Reporting Relationships
Reports Directly To: Regional Program Manager
Reports Indirectly To: Vice President of Clinical Programs
Directly Supervises: N/A
Indirectly Supervises: N/A

D. Essential Functions

  • Screens and evaluates children and adults with communication disorders
  • Writes evaluation reports
  • Develops treatment programs for children and adults with communication disorders
  • Provides teletherapy to individuals with communication disorders
  • Measures and documents outcomes of treatment programs
  • Writes treatment reports
  • Interfaces with other members of the client’s team, especially the parents/family
  • Communicate treatment issues with supervisory staff
  • Conducts staff and community education
  • Acquires, at minimum, the continuing education units (CEUs) necessary for license renewal
  • Manages support staff (volunteers, parents, etc.) within a group setting
  • Contacts and schedules sessions directly with clients (Primarily in the Pacific Time Zone between 8 am PST to 6pm PST)
  • Manages and tracks clients’ progress report due dates
  • Work independently from a HIPAA-compliant home office setting (when appropriate)
  • Follows CSLOT cancellation and makeup policy
  • Understand all CSLOT’s payor source services and authorizations
  • Provides ongoing support to CSLOT’s marketing efforts
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

E. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Experience
REQUIRED
Minimum Education/Experience: Master's Degree in Communication Disorders or similar field
Certification/License: License to practice speech pathology in the State of California and the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or is actively working toward this certificate
