Job Description
Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor
Estimated Start Date: Immediate
Salary Range: $18-20/hour

Summary: Responsible for supervisory functions associated with the retail store relating to the daily tasks as well as the long-term. The Retail Store Supervisor is responsible for working with the Retail Store Manager to maximize sales, profitability, and productivity.
Reports To: Retail Farm Store Manager and Farm President
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Prior business management experience
- Excellent communication and math skills required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of safety programs and procedures
- Produce growing, sales, and food safety knowledge
- Serv Safe Certified recommended
- Essential Functions:
Responsible for all supervisory functions of the retail store for the daily and long-term operation including:
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment to protect employees and customers
- Follow and administer standard operating procedures for the retail store
- Complete store operational requirements individually and with scheduled staff
- Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees with the Farm Store Manager
- Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees: planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Achieve financial objectives as directed by the Store Manager
- Engage and provide excellent customer service
- Establish, secure, and control inventory
- Formulate accurate pricing through review of orders, sales, and buying trends
- Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans, analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios
- Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Assist in daily operations including but not limited to cashiering, stocking, cleaning, and participating in special events on/off farm as necessary.

- Work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching,
standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motion.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds and be able to complete the physical demands of the position
Hours:
- Full Time Hours (35-40 per week) with shifts occurring between 8am-6:30pm including rotating weekend and holidays; hours determined and outlined on individual benefit package
- Variable hours based on the cropping season and weather conditions
