Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

Estimated Start Date: Immediate

Salary Range: $18-20/hour

Summary: Responsible for supervisory functions associated with the retail store relating to the daily tasks as well as the long-term. The Retail Store Supervisor is responsible for working with the Retail Store Manager to maximize sales, profitability, and productivity. 

Reports To: Retail Farm Store Manager and Farm President

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Prior business management experience
• Excellent communication and math skills required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of safety programs and procedures
• Produce growing, sales, and food safety knowledge
• Serv Safe Certified recommended

• Essential Functions:

Responsible for all supervisory functions of the retail store for the daily and long-term operation including:

• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment to protect employees and customers
• Follow and administer  standard operating procedures for the retail store
• Complete store operational requirements individually and with scheduled staff
• Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees with the Farm Store Manager
• Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees: planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
• Achieve financial objectives as directed by the Store Manager
• Engage and provide excellent customer service
• Establish, secure, and control inventory
• Formulate accurate pricing through review of orders, sales, and buying trends
•  Market merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans, analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios
• Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Assist in daily operations including but not limited to cashiering, stocking, cleaning, and participating in special events on/off farm as necessary.

• Work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, 

standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motion.

• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds and be able to complete the physical demands of the position

Hours:

• Full Time Hours (35-40 per week) with shifts occurring between 8am-6:30pm including rotating weekend and holidays; hours determined and outlined on individual benefit package
• Variable hours based on the cropping season and weather conditions
