Work Overview
We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist-/CFY who will be responsible for the delivery of quality patient care according to the patient's individual physical orders. Patient care may involve evaluations, administering prescribed treatments and therapies, care planning, communication with other members of the patient's multi-disciplinary team, emergency management, coordination of care, health promotion, and teaching and training family members.
Key Responsibilities
- May provide direct patient care (evaluation and treatment) in company approved setting while under the supervision of a CCC- Speech Language Pathologist
- Provide a written evaluation defining Speech Therapy needs, goals and expected outcome in conjunction with referring physicians plan of treatment
- Follow policies and procedures and adheres to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations and state laws
- Develop a written plan of care for Speech Therapy with reasonable goals and outcomes
- Maintain and adjust the plan of care as needed for assigned patients according to identified Speech Therapy goals and outcomes
- Maintain effective communication between staff, health care team members and family
- Refer patients when appropriate to additional educational or medical services
- Participate in coordination of services (including discharge planning), with the health care team, physicians, parents/guardians, nurses and others

Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Be under the supervision of a CCC-SLP
- Hold a valid Texas Intern in Speech Language Pathology License issued by TDLR
- Ensure compliance with minimum supervision hours and observation requirements as set by ASHA and TDLR
- Experience with pediatric, autistic and developmentally disabled clients
- Great customer service skills
