Financial Analyst
Bauman and Company, LLC seeks an Analyst for research and analysis support to join its growing and dynamic team of professionals serving the healthcare real estate industry. The Analyst position is responsible for supporting multiple projects related to various B&CO clients, Lenders and Investors. Typical engagement opportunities may include Strategic Planning Initiatives, Financial Modeling, Project Feasibility and Development, Real Estate Transactions, Fair Market Value support, and Operational Property Management tasks.
JOB DESCRIPTION and RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide support for the following departments: Acquisitions, Leasing, and Management.
· Acquisition Support as follows
o Underwriting of new acquisition and development transactions.
o Financial and feasibility analysis, assisting in all phases of property acquisition or ground-up development and project financing activities. This will include feasibility studies and other research for potential investments, investment underwriting, due diligence, managing documentation, site visits and investment closings.
o Market, economic and demographic research to assist in evaluating markets for existing or potential investments.
o Assist improving B&CO’s financial model
o Preparation of written presentations to the investment committee in relation to proposed transactions.
· Leasing Support as follows
o Conduct market research (e.g. brokers, potential tenants, market rates, etc.) and analysis, present findings.
o Develop and maintain updates to property, tenant and client databases.
o Assist in the development of marketing materials.
o Generate lease abstracts
· Management Support as follows
o Investor and Tenant portal maintenance
o Assisting in the creation of construction budgets
COMPETENCIES:
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Employee must be able to orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish goals. Must be able to utilize resources effectively and efficiently and arrange information and files in an orderly and useful manner.
· Develop basic understanding of property investment, development and financing processes, including but not limited to market analysis, financial analysis including property valuation, capital markets, project budgeting and scheduling.
· Strong financial analysis and excel modeling skills.
· Works independently.
· Strong organizational and analytical skills.
· Ability to effectively present information.
· Conducts basic financial analysis.
· Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel or equivalent. Working knowledge of PowerPoint.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Real Estate or related field.
• Prior real estate, financial analysis, construction and/or project management experience preferred.
• Experience / competence with various commonly used software programs.
