As our business continues to grow, we are hiring a SOP Junior Engineer to support SOP documentation and standardization at our Los Angeles warehouse.
Role Summary
This role focuses on standardizing warehouse operating procedures and transforming real-world workflows into clear, structured, and scalable SOP documentation.
You will work closely with operations and system teams to ensure warehouse processes are clearly documented, easy to follow, and consistently executed across locations.
This is a documentation- and execution-focused role, not a system design role.
Key Responsibilities
1. SOP Documentation & Maintenance
Create and maintain SOPs for warehouse operations, including:
Receiving
Put-away
Picking
Packing
Shipping
Transfers
Exception handling
Translate actual warehouse operations into:
Step-by-step procedures
Standard operating requirements
Training-ready documentation
Continuously improve SOP clarity, usability, and execution accuracy
2. Exception Handling SOPs
Organize and document SOPs for common exceptions such as:
Incorrect items
Damaged goods
Scan failures
Missing inventory
Clearly define:
Issue identification criteria
Handling steps
Escalation paths
Reduce operational inconsistency caused by unclear handling rules
3. SOP & System Documentation Support
Assist in converting SOPs into:
Process flowcharts
Operation guides
Rule documentation
Training or reference materials
Support documentation related to WMS / AMS / ODA systems
Assist with process validation and SOP updates
This role does not involve system rule design
4. Training & SOP Implementation Support
Prepare SOP training materials (Lark documents)
Support SOP rollout and execution in warehouse operations
Travel to different warehouse locations to:
Conduct training
Ensure SOP consistency
Collect feedback for optimization
Update SOPs based on real-world execution feedback
5. SOP Awareness & Standardization
Promote SOP understanding through:
Visual guides
Simplified instructions
Key-point summaries
Help unify SOP understanding across all warehouse teams
Reduce operational errors caused by inconsistent interpretation
Qualifications
Understanding of 3PL warehouse operations
Experience with SOP documentation, workflow documentation, or process standardization
Strong ability to structure and organize operational content
Excellent attention to detail and logical thinking
Ability to communicate effectively with operations teams, managers, and system stakeholders
Willingness to travel
Bilingual in Chinese and English (Spanish is a plus)
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly rate during probation: $24/hour
Full-time salary after conversion: $50,000–$55,000/year
