This posting is for a part-time, casual/seasonal, on-call Substitute General Worker in the Caesar Rodney School District Child Nutrition Department.
This position requires the individual to be able to work in a fast-paced environment; consistently lift up to 35 pounds; stand for several hours on hard tile floors; assist with food preparation and service; and perform all cleaning duties, including dishwashing. This individual must be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Duties will be assigned by the on-site kitchen manager. Work hours may be adjusted by the Supervisor of Child Nutrition based on departmental needs. Slip-resistant shoes with a leather or leather-like upper are required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must possess a high school diploma, certificate of completion, and/or GED. Individuals must meet all necessary employment requirements.
SALARY: $15.62 per hour (for SY25-26)
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Individuals must provide official transcripts or official high school diploma, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
- All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
- Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver’s License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
