Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with BIM Software and concepts using Autodesk products (Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD/ Civil 3d, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
- Knowledgeable about Microsoft 360 products (Teams, Word, Excel)
- Background and experience in Electrical Distribution or Process Pipe Modeling and Detailing.
- Bluebeam, Procore Proficiency
- Ability to read and interpret Construction documents/Specs and blueprints and P&ID diagrams.
- General knowledge of Construction Processes.
Primary Function of a BIM Coordinator:
- BIM Execution – Develop and Maintain and Coordinate Model Information and concepts with the goal of delivering accurate and timely construction documents, BOM’s, and requested Sketches to the field teams.
- Ability to take various formats of model information and data and combining it into a unified model for usage for BIM (analysis and constructability).
- Attend Project meetings when required with stakeholders and field teams and work with BIM teams from outside Companies.
- Understand clash detection and accuracy to minimize rework.
- Assure quality of model and incorporate construction changes, RFI’s and as-builts changes for project duration to ensure construction documents are UpToDate
- Be able to collaborate and work with field personnel as well as other modelers/teams.
- Familiar with construction procedures and various software utilized by various stages of design development.
- Assist with developing and implementing BIM execution plans.
- Assist in refining and developing BIM standards and standard procedures.
- Assist new unexperienced BIM Users on technical issues and questions to help build strength and confidence in the BIM Program.
- Ability to build and develop model or model portions with verbal or written information.
- Ability to communicate coordination issues and potential design problems to teams to get clarification or potential solutions to solve construction problems in a timely manner.
- Build Strong and Trusting Relationships with Field and Construction partners.
