The Opportunity
Are you an aspiring consultant who wants to see how multi-million dollar deals are structured, won, and launched? We are looking for a Junior Associate (Intern) to join our Business Development team. This isn't a "coffee-run" internship. You will be in the engine room of our firm, standing at the intersection of Federal Procurement and Fortune 500 Strategy.
You will receive training on the Shipley Proposal Method, learn about high-stakes "Red Team" reviews, and understand how we transform complex technical jargon into winning executive narratives. For the right candidate, this is a direct pipeline to a Full-Time Consultant or Analyst role.
Your Mission (KPI-Driven)
You will be trained on the same standards as our world-class consulting team:
- Market Intelligence- Identification of 5+ high-value $2M+ opportunities per quarter.
- Strategic Writing- Achieving a 9/10 "Impact Score" on technical proposal narratives.
- Operational Excellence- 100% compliance on Federal RFP administrative requirements.
- Capture Management- Mapping 100% of the Decision-Making Unit for target accounts
What You Will Do
The "Black Hat" Strategy: Research competitors to identify their weaknesses and position our firm as the superior choice.
Technical Ghostwriting: Work with our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to write white papers and RFIs that influence government Statement of Work (SOW) documents.
Pipeline Navigation: Manage our CRM and "Gate Review" process to decide which $10M+ deals we chase and which we ignore.
The Compliance Matrix: Ensure every legal and technical requirement of a 200-page RFP is addressed with surgical precision.
The High-Performance Track (SOPs You Will Master)
During this internship, you will be forged into a leader using industry-standard frameworks:
- Phase 1 (The Architect): Mastering the federal/private procurement lifecycle.
- Phase 2 (The Diplomat): Negotiating Teaming Agreements with partners.
- Phase 3 (The Closer): Driving the final "Gold Team" submission and post-award transition.
