We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Head Start Preschool Center Aide to join our team at our Blackfoot, Idaho location. As a Center Aide, you will assist the lead teacher in providing a fun and engaging learning experience for young learners in classrooms birth to age three and age three to five.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the lead teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children.
- Prepare materials and set up learning centers.
- Engage children in educational play and other activities.
- Assist with mealtimes and promote healthy eating habits
- Help out in kitchen as needed
- Keep the classroom clean, organized and attractive.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other professional development activities
Requirements:
- High school diploma or Equivalency Degree (GED) and
- The ability to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with EICAP's guidance within 12 months of hire (EICAP covers all costs)
- Preferred experience working with children 0 – 5 years.
- The ability to become CPR and First Aid certified through EICAP's training program (EICAP covers all costs)
Compensation:
The Head Start Preschool Center Aide position is a full-time, hourly position. We offer a competitive benefits package, as well as ongoing professional development opportunities to help you grow in your role:
- Starting wage: $15.02 per hour
