Toddler Teacher

Age Group: Toddlers (12–24 months or 18–36 months)

Job Description

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with toddlers, understands their developmental needs, and creates a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment that supports social, emotional, and early learning growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom environment for toddlers
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support developmental milestones
  • Establish consistent routines for meals, naps, diapering, and transitions
  • Support social-emotional development and positive behavior guidance
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization in accordance with licensing standards
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with families regarding daily activities and child progress
  • Observe, document, and share developmental milestones and concerns with administration
  • Work collaboratively with co-teachers and support staff
  • Follow all center policies, state licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting (preferred)
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential in Infant/Toddler preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to meet state licensing requirements for employment
