Structural Engineer

A+F Engineers, an award winning, well-established structural engineering firm in Washington DC is looking for motivated structural engineers with a strong academic background in structural engineering.

A+F Engineers is seeking entry-level Civil/Structural Engineering BS and MS degree holders to join a team of designers that will create innovative solutions and are willing to expand their knowledge in the structural engineering field.

Responsibilities and Salary will reflect applicants’ qualifications and may include:

Preparing project calculations for steel, concrete, and wood structures

Creating construction drawings and specifications

Working closely with design team and contractors

Reviewing shop drawings and respond to RFIs

Performing site visits and write up reports

Working with BIM delivery methodology and collaboration in Revit

Qualifications:

BS in Civil / Structural Engineering required

MS in Civil / Structural Engineering (preferred)

Open to entry level BS and MS degree holders

Competency with Revit Structure and BIM modeling is a plus
