Sterile Processing Technician

Performs sterile processing department functions including decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment throughout the hospital and clinical areas, utilizing infection control and safety practices during all phases of the process.  

This position is benefited full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Certification in Sterile Processing required
• Certification in Scope Reprocessing within 6 months of hire
• Two years’ experience in surgical instrumentation care and handling preferred
• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word)
