Campus Ambassador - Summer 2026 - Work Study or Regular Pay
Campus Ambassadors in the Admissions Office serve as first contact for visiting guests by leading campus tours. Campus Ambassadors provide a clear, concise overview of campus, its commitment to academic excellence, as well as a healthy social life. The primary duty is customer service by providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to prospective students and their guests while showcasing the various departments, organizations and resources across campus.
Responsibilities
- Provide tours of campus for prospective students, school groups and campus guests
- Participate in the preparation and execution of on campus recruitment events
- Interact with admitted students through a spring calling campaign
- Enter data into and manage a confidential data entry system
- Complete dining service surveys
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Enrolled as a full time undergraduate student at UW-Whitewater
- Completed a minimum of one full time semester at UW-Whitewater
Preferred Qualifications
- Involvement in campus activities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Enthusiastic about UW-Whitewater and excited to share experiences
Time Commitment
- Two weekly shifts that are 3 hours each for a total of 6 hours per week. At least one shift must occur Monday - Thursday.
- Two Saturday morning tours each semester (3 hours each)
- Participation in recruitment events (roughly four Fridays & 1 Saturday each semester)
- Participation in the spring semester calling campaign (2 evening hours each week)
- One week of training
- Provide additional tours throughout the week as needed
