Term: Spring 2026 (January–May) | ~10-20 hours/week | Remote

About Sound of Earth:
Sound of Earth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working at the intersection of arts, culture, and climate action to catalyze peace through environmental transformation. Through media platforms like Sound of Earth Radio and Records, plus community events ranging from EcoSundays to Sound of Earth Fest, we amplify voices in the environmental movement and create spaces where music and climate action converge. We also provide consulting for initiatives like LA Climate Week and are building a digital platform to connect changemakers with sustainability resources. Committed to whole-system sustainability and radical diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, we practice what we preach—leaving no trace at gatherings, sourcing locally, and training community leaders. Through music and community, we're building a movement for environmental justice one connection at a time.

Position Overview:
As a Fundraising Specialist Intern, you'll support the funding of SOE's urban peace center initiative. You'll gain hands-on experience in nonprofit fundraising strategies and learn how strategic resource mobilization can drive community-centered peace initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing fundraising strategies and grant research
- Support donor outreach and relationship management
- Prepare fundraising materials and documentation
- Conduct research on potential funding opportunities
- Support database management and donor tracking

Preferred Skills & Interests:
• Strong interest in nonprofit fundraising and social impact
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Research skills and curiosity about community development
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Airtable (training provided)

Students from nonprofit management, business, entrepreneurship, finance, social sciences, public policy, international relations, communications, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Commitment: ~10-25 hours/week | Fully remote | Flexible schedule within your semester | Attendance required at all working group meetings | LA-based interns are required to attend all public-facing events (only 5-6 per semester)
