About the Role
Join Horus Technology's growing engineering team as an entry-level Cloud Engineer and help build the future of intelligent document processing. You'll work alongside industry veterans from AWS, Google, and enterprise tech companies to develop scalable AI-powered solutions that transform how businesses handle unstructured documents.
What You'll Do
- Infrastructure Development: Design and implement scalable AWS cloud architectures for document processing pipelines handling millions of documents
- AI/ML Pipeline Management: Deploy and manage machine learning models and LLM inference endpoints using AWS SageMaker, Lambda, and ECS
- Automation & DevOps: Build CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/CloudFormation, and automated testing frameworks
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, optimize costs, and ensure high availability across multi-region deployments
- Security Implementation: Implement AWS security best practices, IAM policies, and compliance frameworks for healthcare and financial services clients
- API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices that integrate with customer systems (CRMs, ERPs)
- Documentation & Collaboration: Create technical documentation and work closely with product and engineering teams
Technical Skills We're Looking For
Required:
- Strong foundation in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, or Node.js)
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and AWS services
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and command-line tools
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Database fundamentals (SQL and NoSQL concepts)
Preferred:
- AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, or Developer Associate)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK)
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS)
- Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts or AI/ML frameworks
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 0-2 years of professional software development or cloud engineering experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to rapidly changing requirements
- Authorization to work in the United States
