Accounts Receivable Intern

Position Summary:

Tweet/Garot Mechanical is offering an internship to participate and learn corporate accounting by working on various accounts receivable activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Calculate, post, and verify financial data for use in accounting records by performing the following duties:

o Assist with preparing, reviewing, and processing customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and project requirements

o Gain hands-on experience with accounting software and real-world problem-solving by working directly with the Accounts Receivable Supervisor

o Collaborate with Project Managers and internal departments to ensure timely, accurate, and complete billing

o Process customer change orders, lien waivers, and other required closeout documents

o Prepare and send customer accounts statements

o Update billing templates

o Cost material, equipment, and consumables to jobs and work orders

o Participate in internship program activities and company-sponsored activities

o Attend meetings and interact with internal customers as necessary

o Complete customer reference requests and balance inquiries as requested

o Perform regular follow-ups on outstanding A/R balances, contributing to reducing past due accounts by assisting in payment collections

o Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Minimum Knowledge, Experience & Skills Requirements:

· Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
