Fire Protection Engineer, Early Career

As a Fire Protection Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Oversee facility modifications and new construction to ensure proper design and installation of fire safety systems
  Oversee maintenance of fire detection, fire suppression, and fire communication systems
  Upgrade fire protection systems and equipment to be more effective
  Perform code evaluations in support of site operations and resolves fire code deficiencies
  Review and develop fire hazard analyses and facility assessments

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or 

Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity of the ICC Codes/Building Code set for New York State
Experience with applicable NFPA standards
Experience with the development of construction documents (drawings, specifications, cost estimates)
Experience with design and maintenance of fire protection systems
Strong interpersonal and teaming skills
