Legal Intern
POSITION SUMMARY
Our internships are designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of the department you’re placed in, as well as an overview of every department’s contribution to our business. The Legal Intern provides entry-level support to the legal department by assisting with contract review and drafting, organizing and tracking agreements, and conducting legal research. The role also supports litigation efforts through document preparation and case file management, and contributes to compliance, policy updates, and other administrative tasks as needed. This position offers hands-on exposure to a broad range of legal work.
This internship will begin in the summer of 2026.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Provides general, entry-level support to the legal department.
- Contract Review & Drafting: Assists with reviewing, editing, and drafting commercial agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Contract Management: Supports the organization and tracking of contracts within the contract lifecycle management system.
- Legal Research: Conducts research on statutes, regulations, and case law to support business and legal decisions.
- Litigation Support: Helps prepare documents, organize case files, and assist with discovery for ongoing litigation matters.
- General Legal Support: Performs other tasks as assigned, including compliance projects, policy updates, and administrative support for the legal team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current 1L or 2L law student; Spring Starts and 3+3 students are welcome
- Interest in corporate law or obtaining in-house legal experience
- Strong academics, with a preferred class rank in the top 40%
- Must be involved in at least 1 extra-curricular activity or volunteer activity
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
