1L Summer Associate

Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths, & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. is seeking first year law students for a 1L Summer Associate position for its Canton office during the Summer of 2026. The Summer Associate will be exposed to all facets of the firm's practice. The ideal candidate would be one with a partner-track mentality who possesses a strong academic background and is motivated to assume responsibility on a diverse range of legal issues and matters. We offer a competitive compensation package and provide mentorship, technology and business and marketing development.

Provide Legal Support

Summer Associates are expected to complete extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations, prepare research memorandums, draft and prepare litigation documents, draft and interpret contracts and other legal documents, and attend client meetings, hearings, depositions and other client related matters.

Prepare Reports

Summer Associates are responsible for keeping all stakeholders – from their senior colleagues to clients – abreast of the progress of a matter by creating written reports and communicating verbally.

Summer Associate Skills

Successful Associate Attorneys are excellent communicators with strong interpersonal skills and analytical abilities. They are dedicated, honest, and possess integrity. Must be capable of working both in teams and independently, be versatile and take the initiative in and ownership over their work and projects assigned to them.
